Date 10/08/2026 Time 15:40 Location West Highland Way near Ardleish Details Tasked by Police Scotland at the urgent request of Scottish Ambulance Service to attend a medical emergency on the West Highland Way. On Scene our crew worked alongside Scottish Ambulance Service, Scotlands Charity Air Ambulance & National Park Rangers before standing down at 18:50

LLRB Crew , National Park Rangers & Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team recently spent the day on a joint training exercise. The exercise simulated two casualties who had sustained traumatic injuires after a fall on Inchtavannach Island. Exercises like these allow all teams to practice Casualty care skills, Search patterns & Extrication from difficult or remote locations.

Date 01/08/2026 Time 17:18 Location Inchlonaig Island Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 17:18 to assist a female and her 12 year old son who due to change in wind direction had became stranded on the island. LLRB arrived on scene, all persons confirmed to be safe & well. Following assessment they where taking back to Luss Pier.

Date 30/07/2026 Time 15:53 Location North Inchlonaig Island Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 15:53 to assist 2 Paddleboarders who due to the wind had became stranded on Inchlonaig Island. LLRB launched & once on scene National Park Rangers had already located the casualties. LLRB stood by until confirmation all was safe & well before standing down at 16:50.

Date 30/07/2026 Time 16:20 Location Inchconachan Island Details Whilst dealing with another incident LLRB got Tasked by Police Scotland at 16:20 to attend Inchconachan Island and assist a family of 4 who had called 999 reporting due to a change in wind direction they where now stranded. LLRB arrived on scene quickly, providing warm blankets to both children before assisting the family back to mainland at Luss Pier.

Date 26/07/2026 Time 15:33 Location Area of Boturich Shoreline Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 15:33 to assist a 16ft vessel with 2 persons on board agroud on rocks at Boturich Shoreline. On arrival LLRB crew entered the water to secure a tow line as the shallow water prevents the Rescue Boat getting in. Once the vessel was in depper water it was kept on tow & assisted to Duncan Mills Slipway Balloch.

Date 25/07/2026 Time 18:30 Location Inchfad Island Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 18:30 to assist a vessel in the area of Inchfad Island that had broken down with 4 persons on board. LLRB launched but was stood down on route as assistance no longer required.

Date 25/07/2026 Time 11:20 Location Water off Balloch Park Details LLRB Crew assisted in recovering a female from the water who had been swimming as part of a triathalon. The female had been kicked in the face by a fellow swimmer and was showing signs of concussion. LLRB Crew assessed the casualty on board before taking her ashore and monitoring her until arrival of Scottish Ambulance Service.

Date 24/07/2026 Time 10:47 Location West Highland Way 5km North of Rowardennan Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 10:47 at the urgent request of Scottish Ambulance Service to assist in attending a male in Cardiac Arrest on the West Highland Way. LLRB launched immediately alongside National Park Rangers. On scene whilst some Crew & Rangers continued Resuscitation attempts both boats played a vital part collecting Ambulance Colleagues from Tarbet Pier & Rowardennan. We worked

Date 21/07/2026 Time 18:43 Location Inchtavannach Island Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 18:43 to assist a vessel on rocks at Inchtavannach Island with 2 Adults & 2 Children onboard that had issues with the fuel tank. LLRB confirmed all safe & well with everyone onboard before securing a tow and dragging the vessel into deeper water. The vessel was kept on tow and asisted to Luss Pier.

Date 20/07/2026 Time 19:46 Location Area of Balmaha Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 19:46 to attend a multi agency response reporting a vessel with 5 persons onboard had struck something in the water leaving them disabled & aground. On arrival, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service & Scottish Ambulance Service were on standby at Balmaha Pier incase of any injuries. LLRB confirmed all on board to be safe & well, Crew assisted the vessel to float & towed it to Balmaha Pier.

Date 19/07/2026 Time 13:13 Location Inchlonaig Island Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 13:13 to reports to assist 4 persons stranded on Inchlonaig island after one of the inflatable kayaks been used was taking on water. With everyone safe & well LLRB assisted all 4 persons ashore to Luss.

Date 19/07/2026 Time 17:21 Location Inchlonaig Island Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 17:21 to 5 persons stranded on Inchlonaig Island 4 Adults & 1 Child reporting engine issues with there Jetski. On arrival LLRB confirmed all safe & well, Ski & persons taken to Luss Pier.

Date 17/07/2026 Time 19:40 Location 1 Mile from Mallarochy Bay Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 19:40 to assist a vessel drifting with two persons on board safe & well. Arriving on scene the vessel was already undertow by a fellow vessel. LLRB assisted in securing the vessel at Balmaha Pier before standing down.

Date 16/07/2026 Time 19:32 Location 1/2 Mile North of Luss Pier Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 19:32 to of a speedboat with battery failure and drifting. Crew stood down prior to Launch as vessel safely underway.

Date 16/07/2026 Time 22:38 Location Inchtavannach Island Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 22:38 to assist Police officers with ongoing enquiries. Crew stood down at 23:30

Date 13/07/2026 Time 13:19 Location Near Rowardennan Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 13:19 to assist a vessel near Rowardennan with 5 persons onboard suffering engine failure. On arrival National Park Rangers in attendance to assist. With all confirmed safe & well , NPA took the vessel on tow to inverbeg & LLRB took a make back to Balloch to collect his car & trailer for easier recovery.

Date 12/07/2026 Time 17:10 Location South Inchmurrin Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 17:10 to assist a vessel with 2 Adults, 1 Child & a dog onboard suffering engine failure. Crew located the vessel & with everyone safe & well secured a tow and asisted them to Duncan Mills Memorial Slipway.

Date 11/07/2026 Time 21:13 Location Inchconachan Island Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 21:13 to reports of a vessel with two persons onboard requring assistance near inchconachan after the rope entangled around the prop. Crew secured a tow and assisted the vessel to the River Leven.

Date 11/07/2026 Time 13:41 Location A82 West Loch Lomond - Search area of water Details Tasked by Police Scotland at 13:41 to reports that a phone had activated its crash detection alert and was showing in close proximity to the water on west Loch Lomond side. crew arrived on scene quickly located a vessel that had hit the sandbank causing the activation. No injuries and vessel was underway.
