Loch Lomond Rescue Boat were paged at 16:30 on 22/8/25 at the request of Scottish Ambulance Service to reports of a female who had fallen on the West Highland Way near Balmaha. LLRB launched immediately and proceeded to the location and once on scene, worked alongside the Scottish Ambulance Service SORT Team, Ambulance crew, and Helimed 76 to treat and package the female.

Due to the location of the casualty and her injuries it was decided best to extricate her from the shore on to the Rescue Boat, where she would then be conveyed to Balmaha pier and handed over to Ambulance crew for onward transport to hospital.

We wish her a speedy recovery.
