Loch Lomond Rescue Boat were tasked at 22:23 last night by Police Scotland to assist Scottish Ambulance Service with an injured female on the West Highland Way, just beyond Rob Roy’s Cave.

Our crew launched immediately and made best speed to the scene.

On arrival, we located the casualty who was part of a group wild camping & had sustained burns to her leg following a hot water spill. Crew carried out an assessment, provided prolonged cooling, and administered pain relief to make the casualty as comfortable as possible.

Once comfortable the casualty was transferred by boat to Tarbet, where she was safely handed over to colleagues from the Scottish Ambulance Service for further care.
