At 08:55 this morning 03/06/26 Loch Lomond Rescue Boat were tasked by Police Scotland, at the request of the Scottish Ambulance Service, to a medical emergency on Inchonachan Island.
Four volunteer crew members quickly assembled and launched, making best speed towards the island.
On arrival, the crew began a search of the area and soon located the party. Casualty care was initiated for an 18 year-old male, with the team carrying out an assessment and administering pain relief.
The casualty was then carefully transferred onto the rescue boat and conveyed back to the mainland, where he was handed over to waiting Scottish Ambulance Service colleagues at Duncan Mills slipway, Balloch.
A great example of multi-agency working and the rapid response of our dedicated volunteer crew.
