Crew paged for the 3rd time at 13:21 today 12/04/26 by Police Scotland for an immediate launch to a vessel that had sunk with 3 persons on board between Inchmurrin Island & Boturich shoreline
Crew launched immediately arriving on scene just after 13:40 alongside National Park Rangers to find 3 persons submerged in water in a sinking vessel.
Due to location two LLRB crew members entered the water & swam to the stricken vessel to assess the situation & preserve life
After some time the first casualty was recovered by crew to the rescue boat & immediately provided with casualty care, this casualty was handed to national park rangers who conveyed him to Duncan mills slipway to meet waiting Scottish Ambulance Service crews.
The Coastguard Rescue Helicopter arrived on scene & winched the remaining two casualties from the vessel to the helicopter for onward travel to Glasgow Airport allowing our crew to recover to the rescue boat before returning to Balloch at 15:00
